Shadow Shot Sunday
Just a little bit of cheating this time. I completely forgot to take The 'shadow shot' for Hey Harriet's SSS this weekend. So I searched for shadows in the photos I took yesterday. This is the corner of a photo I took of my little kids splashing around in my brother's saltwater pool. The swirly shadow is where the step drops to deeper water. Don't you just want to jump in?

I couldn't resist adding this little comic strip of my little Miss Am & my Mr TJ in a tackle over a long blade of grass. It was so cute to watch as they happily play-tackled. When little Miss Am lost the battle, she headed over to bigger brother Mr WAF and started tackling him. I might have to sign her up for football instead of ballet.

Cats and Cupcakes
Ok... the reason for all my cat scribbles lately was for a fun festive activity between a few of us at BrisStyle... our Christmas pressie swap! Teneale from Wicked Child Designs was my inspiration for this illustration.

Smelly Cat Sneaky Cat Jumpy Cat Greedy Cat
Each participating BrisStylette was challenged to make a present for another BrisStyler. Each member posted a few clues of their favourite colours, pasttimes, animals etc... on our group forum. Teneale mentioned she loved all colours, bright crazy and retro, she likes cats and strawberry cream cupcakes. She also has a love of making really cute but wicked soft toys some of which represent people we know who are not so cuddly. My favourite is the softer version of our PM (Prime Minister) Kevin Rudd. You can hardly tell the difference between Teneale's Kevin Rudd and the real thing!
Anyway, back to my completed kitty-cat illustration. I have made into a stationery set, including 8 A5 writing pages, 4 A6 notecards and 15 kitty-cat stickers with 12 coloured C6 envelopes. I had so much fun creating this, I decided to make a few to sell at my first market presented by BrisStyle on the 13th of December at Hamilton Town Hall, Racecourse Rd, Hamilton, Brisbane.

What's in my sketch book?

This illustration is the beginnings of a Christmas Present I made for one of the girls from BrisStyle. We had our fun little 'hand made' Christmas Pressie Swap over the weekend.
I'll reveal the finished product later this week, I'm off to snoozeland now.
Shadow Shot Sunday

Whew! I'm finally back from my bloggy break.
I took this photo while holidaying at Noosa. I was taking a stroll along Noosa River when I stumbled across this interesting old boat. It has so much character with it's rusty textures and colours. This old girl has had many fish flipping around her belly over the years. That's the boat I'm talking about, not me. I prefer my fish cooked and served with chips. Oh and I don't really call myself 'old' either. Although I did just have a birthday which has changed the balance from early-mid 30ish to mid-late 30ish, so hmmm... might be getting a bit shady now.
